Dr. Komari completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Biomechanical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, He is a certified Slip, Trip, and Fall expert. He holds a certification from FAA Aviation for unmanned small aircraft systems. In addition, Dr. Komari completed his postdoctoral research at the biomedical engineering department of the University of California, Irvine, with an emphasis on developing a medical diagnostic device.
With over nine years of experience in mechanical engineering, injury biomechanics, and biomedical engineering, Dr. Komari has provided accident reconstruction and biomechanical analyses, depositions, testimonies, and on-site investigations for both plaintiff and defense clients. His expertise includes areas such as biomechanical modeling, tribometry, human factors and ergonomics, statistical modeling, computational FEA modeling, biomaterials, mechanical failures and testing, and mathematical modeling related to aging and obesity.
Throughout his career, Dr. Komari’s work has been published in several journal articles, abstracts, and proceedings papers, as well as numerous extended reports, either as the sole author or in collaboration with others, focusing on accident reconstruction and biomechanics. Dr. Komari maintains active membership in professional organizations such as SAE International, Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Biomechanics (ASB), Accident Reconstruction Network, and Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM). Dr. Komari is also a peer-reviewer for some of the listed professional journals.
